The American company Natural Dior LLC is recalling ten lots of their Vitafer-L Gold Liquid vitamin supplement after testing detected the presence of tadalafil in the product. According to the FDA, Natural Dior announced the recall on February 25th.
Vitafer-L Gold Liquid is an iron-fortified supplement containing B-vitamins and vitamin C. Advertisements for the supplement claim it supports energy levels, enhances “intimate wellness,” and boosts “complicity and connection” in relationships. The product is sold in a 16.9 fluid-ounce bottle tucked into a cardboard box. Both the bottle and the box are gold in color.
Natural Dior LLC distributed the supplement online through Amazon and Walmart. An importer known as Laboratorio Natural Dior LLC distributed additional product to Miami, FL. The lot numbers included in the recall are as follows:
- Lot 7021-2304 (Expiration: April 2025)
- Lot 7017-2304 (Expiration: April 2025)
- Lot 7040-2305 (Expiration: May 2025)

- Lot 9669-2403 (Expiration March 2025)
- Lot 10060-2404 (Expiration April 2026)
The recalled product is no longer available through online channels in the United States.
As of Tuesday, Natural Dior LLC has not received any reports of adverse reactions linked to the recalled supplement. The company recalled the product because it contains undeclared tadalafil, which is a prescription drug belonging to a class of medications known as phosphodiesterase (PDE-5) inhibitors. According to Mayo Clinic, a doctor might prescribe tadalafil for male erectile dysfunction, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and pulmonary arterial hypertension in men and women. Tadalafil is only available by prescription in the United Sates because the drug has a long list of possible side effects as well as potential interactions with other medications. Specifically, tadalafil can “interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs (such as nitroglycerin) and may cause a significant drop in blood pressure that may be life threatening” (FDA).
Natural Dior LLC advises customers to stop using the recalled supplement immediately and to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
