FDA warns – H-E-B 12-count packages of Creamy Creations Ice Cream in 3 oz. cups recalled due to potential metal

According to the FDA, H-E-B has voluntarily recalled 12-count packages of its 3-ounce cup of Creamy Creations ice cream in three different flavors because the products may contain traces of metal. The now-recalled products were distributed and made available for purchase at H-E-B stores across Texas and Mexico, as well as at Central Market, Joe V’s Smart Shop, and Mi Tienda stores.

Initiated by the company on April 27, 2024, the recall covers the following products, under the following UPC (Universal Product Codes) and code dates:

  • 3-ounce H-E-B Creamy Creations – Chocolate Ice Cream, 12-pack
    • UPC 4122062948
    • Code Dates: 9/6/2024, 9/7/2024, 9/8/2024, 9/9/2024 9/10/2024, 9/11/2024, 9/13/2024, 9/14/2024
  • 3-ounce H-E-B Creamy Creations Ice Cream – Lime/Orange Combo, 12-pack
    • UPC 4122081930
    • Code Dates: 8/31/2024, 9/1/2024, 9/2/2024, 9/3/2024
  • 3-ounce H-E-B Creamy Creations Ice Cream – Homemade/Chocolate Combo, 12-pack
    • UPC Code: 4122081931
    • Code Dates: 9/11/2024, 9/12/2024, 9/13/2024, 9/14/2024 9/15/2024 9/16/2024, 9/17/2024, 9/18/2024, 9/19/2024, 9/20/2024, 9/21/2024

All affected products can be identified by the UPC and code dates printed not on the individual cups, but on the reverse side of each product’s outer bag.

While H-E-B has not received any reports of illness or injuries associated with the potential contamination, the company has removed all above products from store shelves out of an abundance of caution. As officials continue working to correct the issue and return the products to store shelved, customers are urged not to consume any products already in their possession. For a complete refund, the items may be returned to the point of purchase.
